ABOUT
Vanessa Airey
Vanessa has two dogs- smiles and laughs at inappropriate jokes, likes the fall, gummies, conversation, and receiving postcards. When she’s not busy teaching Yoga, Vanessa is hiking, weight lifting, reading voraciously, picking up dog poop, and possibly jumping out of a plane. She is genuine, earnest, rigorous, and passionate about embodied living.

About My Ownership of Tru Yoga
I am proud to be a co-owner of Tru Yoga, a place that has been a significant part of my life for the past decade. As a member for 10 years, I have experienced firsthand the transformative power of Yoga and the welcoming community we have built. Over the past 8 years, I have had the privilege of teaching at the studio, sharing my passion and knowledge with others.
Being in this position of co-owner is an incredible honor. I am deeply committed to fostering an environment where everyone can explore their practice, connect with themselves, and support each other on their human journey. Together, we continue to nurture the spirit of Tru Yoga and hope to inspire all who walk through our doors.

In 2014 I wandered into my first yoga class. Since then, I have been captivated by Yogic practices and using them to gain insights into deeper meaning. For me, the most profound aspects of Yoga are the belief that everything is an expression of the divine, that movement can create understanding, and that individual awakenings contribute to the greater community.
I consider myself both a teacher and student of embodied living. My sincere aim is to teach how I live: with a playful seriousness and rugged authenticity. I view Yoga as a process of remembering our deepest self, embracing the idea that we are all perfectly unfinished. My goal as a teacher is to help practitioners explore what Yoga means to them and discover what is truly possible.
Through intentional sequencing and thematic language, I guide and encourage students in a practice to create stronger, more discerning vessels for navigating their human experience.
